  • Personal advertising website Craigslist has come under fire since 2007 when it was noted that prostitutes were using the site to advertise their services under the heading of "erotic services."

    In May 2009, a call girl service called Room Service Entertainment, with seven employees and two co-owners, was indicted in Queens County Court in New York.   • Florida Prostitution Ring

    35 people were arrested in St. Lucie, Florida between September 5 and October 23, 2008, for allegedly placing and responding to ads on internet personal ad site Craigslist, which offered erotic services of prostitution. The Treasure Coast-area ads offered everything from full-body sensual message to explicit sex acts with some of the posts even suggesting a price through coded wording.
