Craig Smith, born November 10, 1983 is a power forward/center for the Los Angeles Clippers. Smith was born and raised in Inglewood, California and stands at 6 foot 7 inches and weighs in at 260 pounds. His collegiate career started at Boston College where he had a career score of 2,349 points. During the course of his senior year in, his average score was 17.6 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.8 blocked shots. He was the second round, sixth pick for the 2006 NBA draft. He was drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves. During his rookie year with the Timberwolves, he scored an average of 7.4 points per game, and 5.8 rebounds, he also earned a career high for his first year as NBA Rookie All Second-Team. In the 2007-2008 year, he increased his presence starting for the team and increasing his points per game and rebounds to 21.4 and 6.0 respectively. Harper’s 09-10 season is with the Clippers. Through 75 games, Smith average play time on the court being 16:23 minutes per game, with a points per game average is 7.8 ppg, with 3.8 rebounds. He suffered a lower back injury and was out for two games, however he returned to the court in a game against the Dallas Mavericks on April 12, 2010. Smith saw increased play time and used that to his advantage by scoring 15 points and two (2) assists in his 30 minutes of playtime. This is the first time within the last five (5) games that he scored double digit points.
