A cradle is a small bed on rockers for babies from birth to approximately four months old. Cradles are subject to American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) safety standards, ensuring they are safe for infants and do not pose any harm with their design. Cradles are sometimes preferred by parents for their newborns because they are much smaller than a crib or some bassinets.
Safety Warning
Cradles are no longer safe once a baby can roll over. Please monitor your baby carefully. They should not be placed an a raised surface because of the risk of falling. Cradles are recommended only for the floor.
