Cracker (Band)

Cracker is an alternative rock band ased in Richmond, VA. Their biggest hit has been the 1993 track "Low," an catchy observation of the similarities between falling in love and getting stoned, from the album Kerosene Hat. Formed in 1992 by former Camper Van Beethoven frontman David Lowery, the band's sound contains Lowery's trademark wry delivery and skillful sense of melody. Cracker's work, though, is more accessible than CVB's, ditching that band's penchant for obscure influences and lyrics, in favor of the directness of country, punk and pop.
