  • Crab Cakes are and American dish traditionally composed of a mixture of crab meat, eggs, bread crumbs and seasonings shaped into patties, fried and served with a side of cocktail or tartar sauce.

    • Restaurant style crab cakes also known as gourmet crab cakes, are not stuffed and consist of chunks of crab meat and served as an open faced sandwich.

  • Directions

    1. Clean and shell crab
    2. Add all ingredients but oil into a large mixing bowl
    3. Shape into patties
    4. Cover and place in refrigerator for at least one hour. This allows the mixture to bind
    5. Fry in a heavy frying pan until both sides are golden brown. (approximately 10 minutes)
