- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation can be a life saving technique.
- CPR may be performed on a person who has either stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped beating. It is often used for cardiac arrest, electrocution or drowning.
- The earlier a person is given CPR, the better chance they have of survival.
- CPR consists of rescue breathing and chest compressions.
- When CPR is preformed it keeps oxygen flowing though the heart and brain until medical professionals can arrive.
- CPR should only be performed by a person who has had proper training, in order to not cause injury.
