Released in 2000, the romantic comedy film Coyote Ugly is about Violet Sanford and her life in New York City, as a bartender at the Coyote Ugly bar.

Storyline
The film begins as Violet, played by Piper Perabo, leaves the small time life for New York City in hopes to pursue a singing career. Success does not come easy and Violet finds herself broke, unemployed and without a recording contract. On top of all that, Voilet has stage fright, but knows that if she wants a singing career she must overcome her fear. She takes a job at a unique bar in order to pay the bills, Coyote Ugly. It takes Violet a while to settle into the bartending job, learning the bartending flair and getting up the courage to dance on the bar with the fellow female bar maids. Violet meets Kevin O'Donnell, played by Adam Garcia, who helps her work to overcome her fear of singing in front of others. -
