Troy Coleman, aka Cowboy Troy, is a rapping country musician who describes his music music as "Hick-Hop". In 2004 Coleman joined Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson in the MuzikMafia. Cowboy Troy also appeared in Big & Rich's album Horse of a Different Color.
The career of Cowboy Troy actually took off with the release of his fourth solo album Loco Motive in 2005 and his first single I Play Chicken with the Train was the number one download on iTunes. Other singles include, If You Don't Wanna Love Me, Hick Chick, and Cash in the Cookie Jar. Cowboy Troy was a co-host of Nashville Star on the USA Network in 2005 and 2006. Cowboy Troy's nickname came from a friend in college who wanted to distinguish him from his other friends named Troy. Cowboy Troy always wore a cowboy hat which set him apart from the others, hence the name, Cowboy Troy. He and his wife Laura have triplet boys that were born in 2007.
