Courtney Van Dusen appears as a contestant on VH1's Rock of Love Charm School with Sharon Osbourne during the fall of 2008. Van Dusen previously competed for the love and attention of rock musician Bret Michaels on the VH1 reality series Rock of Love 2. Van Dusen became intoxicated and passed out before first elimination causing her Michaels to evict her.

Charm School headmistress, Sharon Osbourne, supervises the 14 ladies from Rock of Love with Bret Michaels as they receive lessons in etiquette, fashion, manners and moderation. Each week the contestants focus on one lesson and then they are given a test on what they learned. Any contestant who fails the challenges of Charm School will be expelled. VH1 reality show Rock of Love 2 followed Poison lead singer Bret Michaels on his search for love among 20 women vying for his affections. The show was set in a six-bedroom mansion in the San Fernando Valley. Each episode found the women competing in various challenges including making a music video, building a custom motorcycle, and performing in a "peep show contest." Challenge winners received private time with Michaels, trips and presents. Those who failed to impress were sent home.
