Courtney Thorne-Smith

American actress Courtney Thorne-Smith has a vast television career. She rose to national attention as Alison Parker on the evening soap opera Melrose Place. After five years on the show Smith went to the legal/office drama Ally McBeal playing Georgia Thomas the new wife of McBeal's childhood love. After three years on Ally McBeal Smith left the show and joined the According to Jim cast as Jim's patient wife Cheryl.

Her film work, although not nearly as extensive as her television credits, includes the movies Lucas, Summer School and Chairman of the Board.
