College Basketball Career
Prior to playing in the NBA, Lee played college basketball with the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers in the NCAA. He recorded 2,238 points, leaving the school tied as the all-time points leader. Lee started in 128 games and averaged 20.4 points per game in his senior season. After college, Lee was selected 22nd overall in the 2008 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic.

Making his debut in the 2008-2009 season, Lee played in 77 games, starting 42 and averaging 8.4 points, 25.2 minutes, 2.3 rebounds 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game.
