Modern Warfare 3 picks up right where MW2 left off and has you continue the intense first-person shooter experience that delivers on every level. You’ll be playing through the eyes of a few different members of various special operations squadrons with elite soldiers whose duties require carrying out intense covert missions.
Aside from the sixteen-chapter campaign story, Special Operations is back with intense missions that you can play with a friend. There’s even a new Survival Mode that has you and a friend squared off with endless waves of enemies. It makes for good practice before heading out to the online multiplayer battlefield for the real competition.
The game’s developers designed the campaign story mode to be easy to navigate. You just have to follow the onscreen markers and instructions to carry out the various objectives you are assigned.
Before beginning, it's helpful to know where you can find the hidden enemy intel that’s placed in various concealed locations throughout the game. It is required that you collect all 46 pieces before you can fully complete the campaign story mode.
Besides providing you with tidbits of information regarding the objectives, we’ll show you where each of these intel items are so you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re not missing anything hidden in the game.
- Special Operations allows you and a friend to experience MW3 in the all-new Survival Mode. Your military capabilities will be tested when you’re stormed with an onslaught of hostile enemies, thugs and soldiers. Fight them off for as long as you can to ascend the leaderboards.
- You and a partner can also play Global Special Operations, which are “mini missions” that stand apart from the regular campaign story. Typically, these mini missions are played from the perspective of those you were previously fighting against in the campaign.
- Achievements and Trophies are not easy to come by. That’s why we’ll show you how to get the ones that can be earned in either Campaign or Special Ops. In order to get all of the Trophies that can be earned in the campaign, you’ll have to finish the story in Veteran mode, which is no easy feat. But with our strategy guide you’ll become a hardened soldier ready to take on the most chiseled of Modern Warfare veterans. The rest of the Achievments are earned in Special Ops mode, and we’ll show you how to get those as well.
- Multiplayer Mode has become a staple of the Call of Duty series and is the culmination of years of gameplay experiments, design refinements, fan responses and feedback. Taking all of these factors into consideration, the multi-player mode in MW3 is fast and furious, with all of the best features refined, perfected and expanded. This online mode has grown into a beast of its own, with more weapons, equipment, pointstreaks, perks and attachments than you’ll know what to do with. But we’ll give you fundamental game tips and strategies to keep you playing the 80 levels of warfare that lie ahead of you well into the ranks of Modern Warfare’s best online soldiers and professional video gamers.
