Blues is the root of nearly all modern music in the Western world: everything from rock, jazz and folk, to country and pop music. In this course, you'll learn about the blues, which chords to use, which scales to use, which techniques you should know, and by the end of the course, you'll be able to play a rockin' blues solo. Follow along with our guitar expert Jen Trani—a guitar instructor who's been playing since she was 13—as she shows you all you need to know to be a killer beginner blues guitarist.
Start to finish, the course runs about an hour long, but you should expect to spend three hours running through it at a slow, steady pace, adding in time for your own additional practice and review of difficult concepts. Additionally, you'll want to practice at least 20 minutes a day until these skills become second nature.
