Reselecting Software Instruments

When you're recording tracks with software instruments using your MIDI controller, you may want to change the instrument from time to time. 






Choose Your Software Instrument

Go to the instrument library and select the instrument you want to use. 

Play Just the Software Instrument

If you want to isolate just the software instrument, you can click on the Solo button of the track.

Alternatively, you can play the instrument alone without playing the song.

Play the Software Instrument with the Song

It's a good idea to make sure that your selected instrument complements the entire musical composition. Play your song and reselect the software instrument while it is playing.

When choosing a different instrument, make sure to reselect the correct one while the track is playing.
