Joey Biagas is an audio engineer with a degree in Audio Recording from California State University Dominguez Hills. Recording Multiple Tracks

Multi-track recording is useful for using more than one input to record several tracks at once. Joey demonstrates recording a guitar track and a voice track together.





Enable Multitrack Recording

In order to multi-track record you need to enable the feature on GarageBand.
Go to Track --> Enable Multitrack Recording.

Highlight Recording Buttons

The recording buttons on each track will now be enabled. Highlight the recording buttons to make sure they're on. You can test the signal on the tracks to make sure they don't peak or distort.

Record

Click the red Record button at the bottom center. Your tracks will start recording at the same time.
