Using the Magic GarageBand TransportThe Magic GarageBand transport is similar to the regular GarageBand session transport but has fewer buttons. There is no rewind, fast forward or beginning of song buttons.
This can be helpful because it simplifies recording and playback. However, to scroll through the song timeline you'll have to click and drag the playmarker.
The transport is located at the bottom of the Magic GarageBand window. This section controls the recording and playback of the song you're working on.
Transport Functions
The Record button starts recording the instrument you have plugged in. Pressing it a second time will stop the recording.
The Play button plays the song from wherever the playmarker is located.
The master volume slider is to the right of the Play button. This controls the volume of the entire song by sliding it down or up.
