Mixing in Magic GarageBand

You can mix the audio aspects of the instruments in your Magic GarageBand project. The mixing buttons work similarly to regular GarageBand track features but are simplified and easier to use.

Select an Instrument

Each instrument is represented by a large icon. The yellow spotlight tells you which instrument is currently active. To edit an instrument, select it by clicking on its icon and highlighting it with the spotlight.

When an instrument is selected, Magic GarageBand will display a small box with the basic mixing track functions for it. The functions include a Mute button, a Solo button and a volume slider. These buttons work the same way as the regular GarageBand track functions.

Mute Button

The Mute button mutes the selected instrument and blacks it out from the stage.

Solo Button

The Solo button mutes all the other instruments and blacks them out from the stage.

Volume Slider

The volume slider raises or lowers the volume of the selected instrument in the mix of the song.
