Instruments in Magic GarageBand

In addition to the various preset instruments provided in your Magic GarageBand project, you can use your own instrument to record tracks within the song. You can customize the effects and settings of your instrument to adjust the sound to your preference.

Select Your Instrument

Make sure your instrument is selected and highlighted. The setting information will be displayed in the bottom left side of the window. It contains the default effects options to choose from.

Change the Default Settings

You can select one of the provided options in the settings bar to change the sound of your instrument.

For more options, click on the "i" icon next to the Customize option on the far right. This will open a
window with additional effects to choose from.

Additional Settings

First, specify your type of instrument in the top section.

Then view the provided options for that instrument choice. You can preview the options by clicking on them and then using your instrument. When you decide which one to use, click Done.
