Chords and Strumming Lessons

GarageBand's guitar lessons contain additional tutorials to show you more detail about how to play specific chords. 

They have the same basic layout as the regular lessons and contain diagrams and examples to help you learn to play guitar. 

Access the Lessons

In the GarageBand start window, select Learn toPlay and then choose Guitar Lessons. Underneath the Intro to Guitar option, click on Chords: G, C. 

Learn Guitar Chords

The lesson window will show you diagrams of the chords and how to play them on your guitar. 

The bottom timeline of the lesson shows the chapters and titles. The lesson includes Welcome, Chord Diagrams, G and C Chords, Strumming Patterns and Chord Progressions. The instruction will help you practice the basic skills of playing the selected chords. 

Use the Loop Tool

You can click on the Loop button at the bottom of the interface. This will repeat the selected section over so that you can focus on one part.
