GarageBand '11, the popular sixth edition application from Apple's iLife software package for Mac OSX, is an audio and music software designed for users new to recording using digital audio workstations (DAWs).
This Mahalo instructional series will teach the fundamentals of audio software, recording music, MIDI data and podcasts. Students will also learn how to setup and use external hardware, make and employ loops, and use “Magic GarageBand” and “Learn to Play” features. Upon completion of this series, students will be able to start recording their musical ideas, publishing their podcasts and moving on to more sophisticated recording platforms.
