The Plus Tool in GarageBand can perform many functions. In this tutorial, you will focus on deleting with the Plus Tool.

Using the Drag Market Tool, hover over the audio waves in the track editor. If you hover the tool above the lengthwise center of the audio waves, the Drag Market Tool will show.

However, if you hover the mouse icon below the lengthwise center of the audio waves, the icon will turn into a plus sign.

As long as you stay below the audio wave, you can click and drag to highlight any region that you wish to get rid of.

To erase the highlighted section, either press Delete on your keyboard or navigate to the top menu bar and click Edit --> Delete.

Deleting sections in this manner keeps you from having to perform individual splits for each section.
