  • The Country Music Awards red carpet fashion createed a buzz of its own and the 44th Annual Academy of Country Music Award ceremony on April 5, 2009 was another opportunity for the stars of the country music scene to make a splash.

    • Reba McEntire returned to host the Academy of Country Music Awards show for the eleventh time and told People magazine in March 2009 that "the hardest thing for me [about hosting] is probably finding the right thing to wear." For 2009, McEntire and her stylist, Terry Gordon worked together to create their own designs. The plan was to create five looks for McEntire to wear during the course of the evening. By designing her own wardrobe, McEntire will no longer have to be concerned about " wearing something when you're hosting that somebody in the front row has on too."People: Reba McEntire Creates Her Own Red Carpet Wardrobe (March 4, 2009)

  • Fashion Country-Style

    • Like other music award shows, the ACM Awards fashions are a bit more laid back than the Academy Awards red carpet. Instead of tuxedos, the men wear anything from dress suits to designer jeans with string ties and cowboy hats. However, the women do usually dress in designer gowns.
