  • Cory Sarich is a professional ice hockey player who currently plays for the Calgary Flames of the National Hockey League.

    Sarich was selected by the Buffalo Sabres during the second round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut in 1999 and was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2000. During the 2003-2004 season, Sarich recorded a career high of 19 points and was a key factor in the Lightning's Stanley Cup win.

    Up for free agency at the conclusion of the 2006-2007 season, Sarich signed a five year contract with the Calgary Flames worth about $4 million per year.
