Corinne Bailey Rae is a Grammy Award nominated English R&B singer and songwriter. Bailey Rae released her first album Corinne Bailey Rae in February, 2006. That same year she was named the predicted breakthrough act of 2006 by an annual BBC poll done by music critics, Sound of 2006. Bailey Rae was also the fourth female ever in British history to have her first album debut at the number one spot.
In March of 2008, Baily Rae lost her husband Jason Rae, a saxophonist, to a suspected drug overdose.
