Early Life
Corey Antoine Maggette was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, on November 12, 1979. He attended Fenwick High School in Illinois, where he developed into an All-American. Maggette was selected with the 13th pick in the 1999 draft by the Seattle SuperSonics. He was then traded to the Orlando Magic. He was traded again, this time to the Los Angeles Clippers in 2000. While with the Clippers, Maggette established himself as an effective scorer and a versatile defender with his speed, explosiveness and 6'6" frame. In 2008, Maggette signed with the Golden State Warriors as a free agent.
