The story in CORE revolves around the events following a meteor crash in the Mojave Desert in 2028. The meteor begins to cause changes in both the surrounding environment and a research facility is set up to find out exactly what is causing the changes.The facility, called the C.O.R.E. operates normally for twenty years until all communication is lost. It is up to the player to investigate what happened to the members of the project.
Upon arrival, the player character finds the site overrun by hostiles which the player must eliminate while continuing his quest for the truth behind the meteor's origins.Official Site: CORE
