The Coppin State Eagles Men's Basketball team plays in the MEAC Men's Basketball Conference in the NCAA. The Eagles defeated Delaware State University 62-60 to clinch the conference championship. Under the coaching of Ron Mitchell and his staff have brought together a program that will be a contender in the NCAA Tournament. They have has 3 past appointments to the NCAA and 2 bids at the NIT. Former alumni Larry Stewart played in the NBA but currently playing in France.
