Copenhagen Bars and Clubs
- Vega Live Music/Bar/Dining, Phone: 45 3326 0951 - Google Map
- Enghavevej 40
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "Consider this brick-built circular 19th-century monument as the closest thing in town to an old hippie be-in, where you'll enter a multifaceted, multipurpose environment with an open mind and then pick the site that best suits your mood of the minute."
- Fodor's Review:"Located in trendy Vesterbro in a 1950s trade-union building, Vega is divided into four rooms: Big Vega (Store Vega), the concert and dance club venue with a capacity of 1,500; Little Vega (Lille Vega), very popular on Friday and Saturday nights with up to 500 partygoers; the Ideal Bar; and the two-room Vega Lounge, a more intimate setting on the top floor of the building."
- Library Bar Live Music/Bar, Phone: 45 3314 9262 - Google Map
- Bernstorffsgade 4
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Frommer's Exceptional Rating: "Frequently visited by celebrities and royalty, the Library Bar was once rated by the late Malcolm Forbes as one of the top five bars in the world."
- Fodor's Review:"The Library, in the Plaza, is an elegant spot for a quiet but pricey drink"
- Hvids Vinstue Bar, Phone: Bar/Dining, Phone: 45 3315 1064 - Google Map
- Kongens Nytorv 19
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Frommer's Very Highly Recommended; "Built in 1670, this old wine cellar is a dimly lit safe haven for an eclectic crowd, many patrons -- including theatergoers, actors, and dancers -- drawn from the Royal Theater across the way."
- Fodor's Review:"Hviids Vinstue dates from the 1730s and attracts all kinds, young and old, singles and couples, for a glass of wine or cognac.'
- Copenhagen Jazz House Live Music/Dancing, Phone: 45 3315 2600 - Google Map
- Niels Hemmingsensgade 10
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Frommer's Highly Recommended: "This club hosts more performances by non-Danish jazz artists than any other jazz bar in town. Shows begin relatively early, at around 8:30pm, and usually finish early, too. Around midnight on Friday and Saturday, the club is transformed from a live concert hall into a dance club."
- Rust Live Music/Bar, Phone: 45 3524 5200 - Google Map
- Guldbergsgade 8
- Copenhagen, Denmark
- Frommer's Recommended: "The setting is dark and shadowy...There are places to sit, but none so comfortable that you'll stay in one spot for too long. No one under age 21 is admitted but you'll see very few over age 45."
- Fodor's Review:"Rust is a constantly crowded all-in-one rock club-restaurant-café on Nrrebro's main square, Skt. Hans Torv."
