  • Coors launched the latest ads in its "Coaches" marketing campaign in connection with the announcement of a contest to give away tickets to Super Bowl XLIII and Super Bowl XLIV.     The ad takes actual post-game footage of Switzer speaking to the press, and intersperses it with scripted fan comments, to create a commercial that appears to have the coach discussing the importance of Coors beer.
  • Barry Switzer

    Barry Switzer is a former NFL and college football coach who has the distinction of being one of only two coaches to win both a college national championship and the Super Bowl.

    Switzer became head coach of the University of Oklahoma football team in 1973, when he was 35. He resigned in 1989, after having earned three national championships and having won 8 of the thirteen bowl games they'd played in.

    He came out of retirement in 1994 to coach the Dallas Cowboys. In 1996, he led them to a victory in Super Bowl XXX. Switzer left the Cowboys in 1998 with a 45-26 record.Encyclopedia of Arkansas: Barry Switzer 1937-
