Cooperative designs was founded in 2007 by Annalisa Dunn and Dorthee Hageman. They met on the MA Fashion course at Central St Martins in London. After the women graduated, they decided to create Cooperative Designs. The style of their designs is said to be graphic, quirky, and modern knitwear.
Inspiration comes from Bauhaus and Russian Constructivism. Every season the two designers enlist the help of special designers to create exclusive pieces that complement their main collection.
Both ladies are also consultants for Hussein Chalayan, Stefanel, Henri Bendel and more. In September 2009 the designers were commissioned by Stefanel to make a collection, which celebrated the Stefanel company’s 50th anniversary in Milan Fashion Week.
Cooperative Designs has received a New Ge3neration award from the British Fashion Council and have represented collections during the Vauxhall Fashion Scout for 3 seasons.
London Fashion Week will be the duos first official independent showing. The women’s previous exhibitions included Stefanel 50, Milan, Eureka Night at the Design Museum, London and Inaugural Woolmark Award.http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/designers/documents/doc_1528.PDF

Designers
Annalisa Dunn was most recently noticed for her knits in the February 2009 Central Saint Martins MA fashion show. She has been designing for 7 years. She is 25-years-old and is continually improving her knitwear and is looking to start her own label, aside from Cooperative Designs, in the near future.
She is of the British nationality and currently lives in London. Her reason for deciding to design knitwear according to her, is that it is still an undervalued piece of the fashion industry and it gives her a chance to explore textures, patterns and 3D structures.www.dazeddigital.com:8080/rise/fashion/?annalisa-dunn-(london-uk)
Dorthee Hageman is from Berlin, Germany. Her favorite fashion idol is Louise Wilson. She attended the same school as Annalisa Dunn and was recognized for her designs during the Central Saint Martins MA fashion show as well.http://www.dazeddigital.com/article/1422/1/Fashions_New_Optimism_Cooperative_Designs
