Conviction is a 2010 drama movie starring Hilary Swank, Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver and Melissa Leo. The film is based on the true story of Betty Anne Waters, a woman who, convinced that her brother Kenny has been wrongly convicted of murder and rape, sets out to try and prove his innocence. The Conviction theatrical trailer opens with the arrest of Kenny Waters (Rockwell) in Massachusetts. Waters is shown being convicted of murdering Katharina Brow as his sister, Betty Anne Waters (Swank) yells "We'll get you out Kenny!"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCwlaLyjtcA

The narrator explains that Betty Anne Waters worked for 18 years to try and free her brother. Waters is shown befriending a fellow law school student, Abra Rice (Driver), and explaining her situation. Waters eventually passes the bar exam and launches an all-out effort to exonerate Kenny Waters. As the trailer continues, viewers are shown clips of Betty Anne Waters meeting with her brother several times in prison. At one point, she explains that he must take a DNA test to prove his innocence. Kenny Waters tells his sister no. When she asks why, he says "because it will test positive."
