Convergence Insufficiency

  • Convergence insufficiency is the inability to focus both eyes on an object as it gets closer to the face. People with convergence insufficiency tend to have trouble reading, writing and looking at things close up.   • Treatment

    Treatment can be passive or active. Active treatment involves strengthening the eye muscles through pencil push-ups or optometry therapy. Passive treatment is using some external means of correcting the problem.
