  • Contessa Brewer is a news anchor on MSNBC. Prior to joining the MSNBC team in September 2003, Brewer anchored in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at WTMJ-TV, in Palm Springs, California and in Reno, Nevada at KRNV-TV.

  • Early Years

    In 1992, Brewer graduated from Sacopee Valley Jr-Sr High School, which was located in Hiram, Maine. Following high-school graduation, Brewer went on to attend Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, which she graduated from magna cum lauda with a degree in broadcast journalism.
  • Don Imus Controversy

    In 2005, Brewer and Don Imus had a public feud, after Imus overheard Brewer insult him on the air. Imus countered on his own radio show, calling Brewer "fat" and "dumb."
