Rock singer Constantine Maroulis was the sixth finalist on the fourth season of the hit reality series singing competition FOX series American Idol.

Early Life
Maroulis picked up music at the early age of five. He played the Trumpet in middle school, and then in high school played in garage bands with Lady Rain and Milkbone. He earned his bachelor degree in musical theater from the Boston Conservatory of Music.
Maroulis was cast in many off Broadway musicals and was an acting apprentice at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. On Broadway he was cast the leading role of "Roger Davis" in the hit musical Rent.
He's an Idol
To the surprise of his band mates Pray for the Soul of Betty, Maroulis auditioned for American Idol and was cast. He was the sixth place finalist in the competition. After the conclusion of the show, he went out on the American Idols Tour 2006 joined by the top 10 finalists of the season.
Life After Idol
Currently Maroulis works as a co-host on American Idol Extra with ex-Idol season five contestant Gina Glocksen. Together they highlight the current seasons of Idol with interviews of guest stars and eliminated contestants, spoilers, and gossip about the contestants. The show airs on FOX Reality.
