Connie Nielsen is a Danish actress. She was born on July 3, 1965 in Frederikshavn, Denmark. She was raised in the village of Elling. At the age of 18, she went to Paris to act and model. She later attended drama school in Rome. She began dating Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich in 2003. They have a son together named Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen born on May 21, 2007. Nielsen also has another son from a previous relationship named Sebastian. Nielson is fluent in seven languages including English, Danish, Italian, French, German, Swedish, and Norwegian.

Nielsen made her film debut in 1984 with Par Où T'es Rentré? On T'a Pas Vu Sortir. The following year, she landed a role on the mini-series Colletti Bianchi. From there, she has appeared in Voyage, The Devil's Advocate , Rushmore, Soldier, Mission to Mars, Gladiator, One Hour Photo, The Hunted and The Ice Harvest . Her more recent works include The Great Raid, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, The Situation, Battle in Seattle and Tonight at Noon.
