    On March 18, 2009, Mack said that U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner should resign after the AIG, a company which has received billions of dollars in loans, paid large bonuses to their employees on March 13, 2009. Mack said that Geithner had been involved in negotiations with AIG before he took office as Treasury Secretary and either was "grossly negligent" for not knowing that the bonuses would be paid out, or failed to inform President Barack Obama about them.Fox News: Rep.
