  • [[Congress Targets Yahoo!]]: The House Foreign Affairs Committee is investigating charges that [[Yahoo!]] knowingly provided private information to Chinese officials, which lead to the prosecution of Chinese democracy advocate Shi Tao. In 2006 [[Yahoo!]] told congress that it did not know the nature of the Chinese governments investigation of Shi Tao, when it released his IP address, and e-mail contents. Congress has sense determined that those statements were false, and that [[Yahoo!]] knew more about the investigation than they had claimed. Shi Tao is now serving a 10-year prison sentence.
