History
The Conference USA was established in 1995 by the Metro Conference and Great Midwest Conference being one. It has 12 members and the institutions are located within the Southern United States. Mike Slive is the league's first commissioner and Britton Banowsky was named the Conference Commissioners in October 2002. East Carolina University was added in September 1996, United States Military Academy in March, 1997 as football members, then in 1999 TCU and ECU.Recent Champions
