Concord is the state capitol of New Hampshire in the United States. It was originally settled by Pennacook, Native Americans. Settled by colonists in the early 18th century the area is notable for its connect through Massachusetts to the Atlantic Ocean by way of the Merrimack River. In its early years the city was known for its Granite Quarrying and furniture making. It is currently the home to one of the largest independent commercial printing company's in the United States, the Concord Litho.

The City of Concord is home to several tourist attractions. Among the notable historical landmarks are the New Hampshire State House, which is the oldest state house still in use. The city is also home to the McAuliffe-Shepard Discover Center, which is named after Christa McAuliffe, the teacher and Concord resident, who died in the Space Shuttle Challenger Disaster in 1986.http://www.starhop.com/<ref>
