Computer Mouse

A computer mouse is a device used for moving a cursor or activating something on the computer. A traditional computer mouse has a casing which fits in the users hand, two buttons on top and a ball on the bottom used to move the mouse. There are a number of modifications that have been made to the traditional computer mouse, including a scroll wheel, track ball, optical mouse and Bluetooth.

Types of Computer Mice

  1. Optical Mouse: Introduced in 1999. An optical mouse works by taking thousands of pictures with a tiny camera installed inside of the casing.
  2. Wireless Mouse: A wireless mouse uses a mouse that communicates to a receiver which translates the movements.
  3. Bluetooth Mouse: The mouse uses Bluetooth technology to communicate with the computer via built-in Bluetooth or an adapter connected to the computer.
