Company Of Heroes Walkthrough

This page contains a full-text walkthrough for Company of Heroes, a real-time strategy video game developed for the PC. The game is based on World War II with the player commanding two U.S. military units during the Battle of Normandy and the Allied capture of France, giving the option to fight as Allied or Axis forces. There are large differences in the two forces. Allied forces are cheaper, numerous and more versatile. Axis forces are more expensive, fewer in numbers and often more powerful.

Introduction

  • The single player campaign walkthrough guides players directly through the major American operations that took place during the Battle of Normandy. Players take control of specific points on the map throughout the game. The more points that a player controls, the more resources can be acquired. Points on the map are connected like supply lines. Constant expansion of the player's territory is required. During the course of battle, the player can capture a point in the supply and isolate the remainder that connect to the base through it. This severely impacts the enemy's supply resources.
  • Three resources are collected throughout the course of the game: munitions, fuel and manpower. Manpower is necessary to produce all units, munitions to upgrade individual squads and vehicles as well as use special abilities, and fuel allows players to purchase tanks and other vehicles, build bases and acquire global upgrades.
