  • The University of Colorado football team plays college football as a member of the North Division of the Big 12 Conference. The program has a rich tradition of excellence spanning back to the 1930s. They play home games at Folsom Field on their campus in Boulder, which is named for their first successful head coach Fred Folsom. The school shared the 1990 national championship with Georgia Tech. The only Heisman Trophy winner in school history is Rashaan Salaam in 1994.

The list of greats include Byron White, Kordell Stewart, Alfred Williams, Daniel Graham, Eric Bieniemy, Michael Westbrook, Dick Anderson, Cliff Branch, Boyd Dowler, Mark Haynes, Dave Logan, former New York Mets catcher John Stearns and PGA Tour golfer Hale Irwin.
