The Republic of Colombia is located in the northwestern region of South America. Colombia is bordered by Venezuela and Brazil on the east and Ecuador and Peru to the south. To the north is the Atlantic Ocean and Caribbean Sea and to the west is the Pacific Ocean and Panama. Colombia is the fourth largest country in South America and the 26th largest country in the world. Colombia is the only country in South America that has long ports on both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.
