Collie

- Coat types: Rough (long haired) and Smooth (Short haired)
- Colors: Sable, Blue Merle, Tricolor, and Color Headed White
- Average life span is 12-14 Years
- The Collie is known best from the Lassie TV shows and Movies

The collie originated in Scotland and was used for herding sheep. They are considered a robust and healthy breed.
Temperament

Collies are extremely intelligent, energetic and agile with great stamina and endurance. If kept as a pet and not a working dog special attention needs to be given in making sure the dogs is stimulated and exercised. Collies make wonderful participants in sports such as sheepdog trials, flyball, Frisbee and dog agility.
Collies are extremely loyal.
