College Hoops 2K8 is a sports game for the Xbox 360, PS2 and PS3. Players can choose a team and play in either career mode or open mode. Like College Hoops 2K7 the crowd can give the home team a momentum boost. Reception
The game received a 8/10 from IGN and a 80 from Metacritic. The Playstation 2 version received a 66 from Metacritic and a 6.9/10 from IGN. The discrepancy in the scores is because the PS2 version of the game is missing the 2K roster sharing, plays, chants and other files. There is also no coaching adjustments features which the Xbox 360 version and PS3 version have.: College Hoops 2K8 Review (November 20, 2007) All three consoles include a range meter so players can see whether the shot will make it into the basket or not. One of the major complaints is the fact that 2K Sports have not updated the passing functionality.
