Colleen and Newell Cerak are the authors of Mistaken Identity that chronicles the journey after the accident that they thought took the life of their daughter, Whitney Cerak. It wasn't until five weeks later that they received a call in the middle of the night telling them that their daughter Whitney was alive. For five weeks she was believed to be another young woman that was also involved in the accident, Laura Van Ryn. One survived. One didn't. The book delves into the pain both families dealt with during that trying time and the years following. They co-wrote the book with Don and Susan Van Ryn, Whitney Cerak and contributor, Mark Tabb.
