Cole Aldrich

Cole Aldrich is a forward playing college basketball for Kansas University. He is 6 ft. 11in. tall and weights 245 lbs. He is majoring in communication studies. He was given an Honors Award for Physical Education at Jefferson High School.

Cole averaged 22.9 points, 17.6 rebounds and 3.8 blocked shots while playing basketball for state quarterfinalist Jefferson High School in 2006-07, his senior year. He played in the McDonald's All-American game that year. He finished with six points, eight rebounds and four blocks for the West Team in its 114-112 victory He was named state player of the year by the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Minneapolis Star-Tribune following his senior campaign. Associated Press named Cole the Minnesota Defensive Player of the Year during his sophomore, junior and senior seasons, and was the first athlete to receive the honor three straight years. Cole Aldrich 2009-10 Season

Cole is a junior for the 2009-10 College Basketball Season. He help KU finished the season ranked #1 in the nation with a 32-2 record, 81.8 PFA, and 63.8PAA. He ended the season with 11.2 points, 9.9 rebounds (almost 4 more than the next player), and team-leading 3.5 blocks per game. Cole Aldrich 2008-09 Season

During Cole's sophomore season (2008-09), he was All-Big 12 First Team selection who averaged a double-double (14.9 ppg, 11.1 rpg) with 21 DDs on the season. He was named the college basketball most improved player by Athlons and NBCSports.com). He even recorded the first official triple-double in KU history in a game against Dayton on March 22, 2009. Cole led the Big 12 Conference in blocked shots with 2.7 per game (12th nationally). His 94 blocked shots rank second on the KU single-season list. He also ranked second in the Big 12 in rebounding (11.1 rpg), which was 10th nationally. Cole Aldrich 2007-08 Season

Lebron James Skills Academy and did very little to justify his status as a potential Top-5 draft pick. Jonathan Givony, President of the facility, felt it’s likely that he’s just not the type of player that stands out in these settings, as he seems to look very uncomfortable for the most part outside of Kansas’ system. His skill-level offensively looked very limited in the drills and five on five action, as he has average footwork and touch around the rim and appears pretty mechanical when trying to create his own shot.
