Coldplay is a multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning rock band from London, England that have achieved worldwide success and critical acclaim. The members of Coldplay all met while students at the University College London and soon began playing gigs in the Camden area of London.

Career
Their first album Parachutes was an immediate success, winning the band a Grammy and spawning the international hit "Yellow". Their second album A Rush of Blood to the Head was an even greater success and won the band their second Grammy award. The band's fourth studio album Viva la Vida is scheduled for release on June 17, 2008.
