A subsidiary of Kahala Corp., Cold Stone Creamery is a chain of premium ice cream shops famous for using a cold slab of granite for mixing flavors and toppings. Customers create their own concoctions by choosing from a variety of premium ice cream, sorbet, and yogurt flavors that are made fresh daily. The flavors are then mixed on a cold stone along with any desired mix-ins, such as candy, nuts, and cookies, to be exact over 11.5 million ways.

Cold Stone operates over 1,400 parlors across the United States, China, Japan, Korea, and Puerto Rico. The first location was opened in 1988, by co-founders Donald and Susan Sutherland in Tempe, Arizona.
