  • Cold Souls stars Paul Giamatti as himself as he tortures himself over his performance as Uncle Vanya.   • Synopsis

    • When actor Paul Giamatti decides to utilize the services of a high-tech company to freeze his soul while he is playing an emotionally challenging stage role he had no idea his soul would be difficult to reclaim. While Giamatti's soul is in storage, an entrepreneurial thief decides to "borrow" Giamatti's soul for an untalented Russian soap-opera actress. Traveling to St. Petersburg to reclaim his soul, Giamatti learns that in order to experience happiness, one must incorporate pain as part of the full spectrum of emotions.Sundance 2009: Cold Souls Description
